The official generator tariff for September 2026 is 48,241 LBP per kWh, about $0.54. In remote and sparsely populated areas the official tariff is 10% higher.
In practice, many businesses pay more. Neighbourhood generator subscriptions reach about $0.90 per kWh in some areas, and running a private generator costs about $0.50 per kWh with diesel at around $1.60 per litre.
